Marouka Castle
Hitobashira, a kind of human sacrifice, is still practiced in Japan until the 16th century. The corpses of the victims were sacrificed were used as founding materials, pillars, dams, and others, to soothe and request that the gods protect the building from danger. Maruoka Castle in Sakai, Fukui Prefecture is the place of the story of the Urban Legend Japan about the most famous Hitobashira.
