Traditionally the Japanese bathrooms aren't as simple as they look. There are a lot of scary stories behind the clear, simple toilets in Japan. One of his unique stories is ghosts of blue paper and red paper. You may need to read this article too often when you are in the Japanese toilet because there is a way to escape a ghost named aka manto (the red cape).
When aka manto was alive he was believed to be a handsome man, but he was constantly being stalked by admirers or in the English word stalker. She wore a red robe and a mask-, so that she continued to wear the garment when she died.
In spreading her terror, aka manto would make mysterious noises to the toilet visitors in the corner or the lone visitors in the bathroom. Then he would ask the person "red paper or blue paper?" If you answer red you will be stabbed in the neck so that your clothes will be stained with blood and turn red. If you answer blue doesn't mean you survived but you'll be strangled until your face turns blue. Some stories say there are other answers like answering a different color than the person will be dragged into another world. According to the belief in Japanese society, the only answer that kept you alive was "no paper" or "no need paper.
